How to get involved:
PACE's Legislation Committee analyzes all bills that impact early childhood education and formulates the association's positions on the most critical legislation. Following the direction set by the Legislative Committee, PACE's legislative advocate represents the interests of its statewide members to the Legislature and governor. The Legislation Committee members also assist PACE members to be more effective advocates themselves, coordinating their efforts to advocate on issues of concern to their centers and communities via workshops, online advocacy assistance, and the Day at the Capitol. The PACE Legislation Committee meets via conference call the fourth Thursday of every month from 1:30 - 2:30pm. To join the committee please contact the PACE office at pace@pacent.org. |
